The internet made information easier to find than ever. It also made misleading claims, manipulated content, and outright scams easier to spread. The result isn't any single viral hoax. It's something harder to see: people are no longer confident that what they're sharing with friends and family is actually true.
Soval Social was built to help solve that.
Our mission: help people trust the information they share online again.
What Is Soval Social?
Soval is a claim verification platform. You submit a claim, and the platform researches it against the public record, then shows you what it found: the sources, the disagreements between them, and how the conclusion was reached. Not a rating with a trust-us attached. The actual evidence. Saw something in the news? You can fact check in seconds on Soval and get an assessment that looks at multiple views, even if they differ.
Each claim carries one of five evidence states, a summary of what the strongest sources say, and the full source list behind it. Where credible sources disagree, the platform says so. Where the evidence is too thin to draw a conclusion, it says that instead. There is no percentage score. A number would suggest false precision on claims where honest people disagree.
We call this being evidence-visible. The goal is to make the reasoning behind a verdict inspectable, so the conclusion earns trust rather than asking for it.
How Soval Works
When a claim is submitted, it moves through three layers.
Research
The verification engine searches the public record, gathers supporting and conflicting sources, and assigns one of five evidence states, from strong agreement that a claim is supported to strong agreement that it isn't, with real middle ground for disputed, developing, and under-evidenced claims. The sources it relied on are listed on the claim.
Open discussion
Members submit claims worth checking, discuss findings, contribute context and counter-evidence, and challenge conclusions. Claims get stronger under scrutiny. That's the point of making everything visible.
Appeals and human review
If you believe a verdict is wrong, you can file an appeal. Sustained disputes from the community also escalate claims for review. A human moderator examines each case and can order re-verification or override a verdict when the evidence calls for it. No vote count and no dispute tally ever moves a verdict on its own. A verdict on Soval can't be shifted by a pile-on, a brigade, or a coordinated campaign. It moves when the evidence does, reviewed by a person who is accountable for the decision.
Living verdicts
The public record changes. Our verdicts track it. When new evidence emerges, claims are re-examined, and the history of what changed and why is visible on the claim itself.
Why We Built It
Editorial fact-checking teams do careful work, but they can't cover the volume of claims spreading online. And readers are increasingly asked to trust a rating without seeing how the team got there. Crowd-voting systems can scale, but popularity is not evidence.
We think the right approach combines all three: automated research that is consistent and shows its sources, a community that surfaces what matters and pressure-tests conclusions, and human judgment with the final say on contested calls. All of it visible.

We run on our own resources. No advertiser, sponsor, or partner has any influence over verdicts. Verdicts are not for sale.
Our Standard
We hold this page to the same standard we hold every claim on the platform: if the evidence is not there, each claim verification will offer transparency and assign a level of trust to that claim.
