VR is bad for your eyes

Majority view

Authoritative ophthalmology guidance indicates that VR can cause temporary eye strain, fatigue, dryness, blurred vision, and related discomfort, but does not establish that ordinary VR use causes lasting eye damage. Peer-reviewed reviews and government guidance likewise report short-term, generally reversible effects while noting that long-term effects remain insufficiently studied.

Credible dissent

Some lower-quality or less-established literature raises concerns about possible long-term effects, but this does not constitute substantial credible dissent from the prevailing evidence.
