A TVA Nouvelles report dated September 22, 2026 states that 49% of Quebec’s population supports introducing tolls on roads in the greater Montreal region when revenues are dedicated to road maintenance and public transit. A contemporaneous report by Le Nouvelliste independently gives the same 49% result from a Leger survey of 1,030 respondents, with support at 52% in the Montreal metropolitan area and 48% in the Quebec City area. The image’s wording is therefore accurate, although it omits the conditions and geographic qualification.
