Viral posts claim McDonald's lost a lawsuit to chef Jamie Oliver after he proved in court that its food was 'toxic' and unfit for human consumption.

What we can confirm

Authoritative fact-checkers and news outlets consistently report that Jamie Oliver never sued McDonald's, and there was no court case or legal ruling in which he proved McDonald's food was "toxic" or legally unfit for human consumption. McDonald's did later discontinue the use of ammonia-treated "pink slime" beef, but this was a business decision, not the result of any lawsuit or legal defeat to Oliver.
